Birch Shores has been owned and operated by the Bitely family since its inception in 1947. We feature 30 rustic and cozy cabins on the eastern shore of Big Manistique Lake with 1000′ of beachfront. Come enjoy spectacular sunsets, nightly campfires, fishing, boating, swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and more!
Birch Shores Resort is an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and a reprieve from the demands of our digital world. It’s a place to be one with nature and be part of a community of good folks where the kids go outside to play together, people interact face-to-face, and families become reacquainted. We hope you’ll join us and look forward to your visits year after year as much as we do!
Amenities you will find with each rental include a full kitchen and bathroom with shower, a row boat, a picnic table, a nightly campfire with scooter rides for the kids (weather permitting), and a weekly hot dog roast and beach party (peak season). We have charcoal grills available by request. We also have a playset, swimming area on the beach with reclining sunbathing chairs, rec room with a ping pong and pool table and a fireplace, beach volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. We have 3 approximately 200 foot long docks and a screened-in fish cleaning house for boating and fishing fun.
